The day Georgia met Paddington Bear

Due to my job I’m lucky to be invited to some extraordinary events.

Case in point:  The Paddington Bear 2 DVD release in Australia.

The event was held at VIVE Cooking School in Rosebery, which, by the way, is becoming something of a hub for foodies thanks to places like The Grounds and Messina setting up shop nearby.

The event was run by patisserie chef extraordinaire, Anna Polyviou, and aimed to teach fans how to make Paddinton Bear’s favourite food – marmalade sandwiches.

Not that much cooking went down…

Take ONE GUESS as to who was more excited to meet Paddington Bear? A child or a 32-year-old woman… Hmm… I wonder.

I have no idea who was in the bear suit but whoever it was completely owned that role.

Georgia on the bottle AGAIN. Here I was telling Anna about the time we double-parked at the Shangri-La just so I could run inside and grab some of her desserts. ‘I love hearing stories like that,’ she told me.

Poor Paddington. That bear tried SO. DAMN. HARD to make friends with Georgia but she was not having a bar of it.

The VIVE Cooking School was decked out in an array of British fanfare to celebrate the DVD release.

Probably my favourite photo of the event. My little sous chef attempting to get her hands on the pan. That delicious looking cocktail you can see to her right was not a cocktail but a MOCKTAIL… and yes, it was scrumptious.

Paddington 2 will be available to own on DVD on April 24
